Moises Caicedo

Marc Cucurella

A year before Chelsea brought Caicedo, they made a transfer, after which Cucurella moved to their squad. The Spanish footballer signed a £60m contract with the Blues. 

Even though this transfer is far lower than the Caicedo’s, Cucurella is the second among the most expensive Brighton players sold. Chelsea’s manager at that time, Thomas Tuchel, said that Cucurella boasted quality, intelligence, and mobility.

Ben White

Going back to 2021, Brighton let go of a player in compensation for £50m. I’m talking about Ben White. The Englishman plays mostly as a centre-back but can also play as a right-back. White played for England on many occasions in the past.

Besides, his talent led him to one of the most famous English clubs, Arsenal. Having in mind that the Seagulls only spent £5.5m when they brought the Englishman and that there was no fee, the profit they made after selling him for £50 was huge.

Alexis Mac Allister

Many experts considered Mac Allister one of the Brighton best players before he decided to play for Liverpool. A 25-year-old Argentinian player who became an unavoidable mention during and after the World Cup 2022.

Yves Bissouma

The defensive midfielder from the Ivory Coast became part of Tottenham Hotspur around one and a half years ago. His contract value reached £25m. The story of how Bissouma became one of the most expensive Brighton players sold is interesting.
