The final matches of the group stage of the Champions League are almost over. We already have official confirmation of the teams from a few groups that are advancing to the knockout stage.

Chelsea – Krasnodar: 1-1

Chelsea and Sevilla from Group E are going to the knockout stage. That much is clear. Rémy Cabella scored the first goal of the for Krasnodar in the 24th minute. After that, the team focused on defense. Though, they did not have much of a choice. Chelsea equalized four minutes later and kept the pressure on.

Rennes – Sevilla: 1-3

Rennes gave their third and final goal this season. That was after Sevilla did the same thing in a little over an hour and a half the match lasted. Rennes is one of the three teams with only one point to their name. They are also the only ones with five consecutive losses.

Zenit – Dortmund: 1-2

Sebastián Driussi gave Zenit’s goodbye goal to Dortmund in the 16th minute. Zenit gave 110% and held their own for the good part of the game. Unfortunately, Dortmund overran them.

Lazio – Club Brugge: 2-2

Brugge could not make it past Lazio. This was their last stand. The first three goals of the match happened in the first half-hour. What makes Brugge impressive is that they managed to equalize with a man down. Still, it is Dortmund and Lazio in Group F who are moving on.

Barcelona – Juventus: 0-3

Juventus just took Barcelona down a few pegs. It was a glorious display of: “Where do you think you’re going?” Though both teams now each have 15 points and both will be going to the knockout stage, this is the first time in over a decade that Barcelona is not at the top of their group.

Dynamo Kyiv – Ferencváros: 1-0

Dynamo achieved their first and only victory this season. They broke their losing streak, but Ferencváros wasn’t that lucky. Dynamo now has 4 points and Ferencváros 1. These two teams are saying goodbye to the Champions League.

RB Leipzig – Manchester United: 3-2

Again, we knew that Leipzig would be moving on at this point. Angeliño scored the first goal in the 2nd minute of the game. Meanwhile, United scored only one goal in the 11th hour. The second one was donated by Ibrahima Konaté. Things were pretty close and United did have a shot at the knockout stage. This is just not their year but, hopefully, next time, they will be ready.
