Latest Football Injuries Plaguing Chelsea
The Blues are seriously struggling to keep their top spot in the Premier League. Looking at the Chelsea stats, we can tell something is not working. The club finished 12th in 2022 and are currently out of the top 10.
Despite bringing in countless top-tier players, they can’t seem to find the combination. Moreover, their latest football injuries keep causing further problems. Some of the crucial players missing due to injury are the ones below.

While his current status is still unknown, the Blues are hoping to get their centre-back somewhat earlier. Fofana had the reconstructive surgery on the 18th of July, 2023.
Christopher Nkunku – Knee Injury
Another one of the Premier League latest injuries was Christopher Nkunku’s knee injury. Luckily for the blues, the injury was not as severe as with Fofana, although it did require surgery. Nkunku transferred from RB Leipzig to Chelsea in July, 2023, and this is a terrible stat for the French striker.
The team won’t be able to rely on the forward for an extended period of time. The 25-year-old attacker started his rehab program with the club’s medical department and is looking to return by the end of the year. Specifically, the date they have in mind for his return is the 16th of December.
Reece James – Thigh Injury

Benoit Badiashile Mukinayi Baya – Thigh Injury
Benoit Badiashile transferred from Monaco to Chelsea in January for £35m. This deal was nowhere near some of the most expensive transfers for the club. In 11 games he played for the Blues, he scored one goal and earned two yellow cards. Despite the stats not showing, his significance and impact in the club were way larger.
He suffered a thigh injury in September, but some of the official reports show it was a minor injury. He is expected to return to the team around the 2nd of October. His injury is currently being assessed, and the club will have relevant information soon.
